a fog

Have you ever felt as if you were living in a fog, where the long awaited clearing seems to never come? Well you are not alone! The weather can be sunny with short periods of overcast, but not in your world. The birds are singing the flowers are blooming, but not in your world.

It’s hard to imagine that soon this feeling of despair will lift and reveal the beauty of life even if it’s raining. We can be so over come with sadness, and anxiety that all we can think about is how to get past the next few minutes. We dwell on why me and how is it that everyone else around me seems to have it all?

Your heart is so heavy it cannot send the right signals to the brain to provide the help needed to snap you out of the suffering that you are putting yourself through. We have all become so distant from our true nature, the essence of who we are that we begin to forget how miraculous our bodies are that it allows us not to be in control because then we would forget the one key ingredient for survival, “Just Breathe”

The act of breathing when concentrated on relieves our aching souls for that brief moment that will have allowed for peace to enter even for just a few seconds. Dwelling on the negative gets so much more of a rap than it deserves. People in our lives constantly remind us of our limitations when the positive is so much more important.

Remember none of us were born with the answers and it’s unfair to think that just because our elders are older that have an inside track to the answers needed for us to solve our deepest concerns. Each one of us is unique and gifted in a way that no one else is, and it’s not realistic to think that anyone has the information you need when they are on a path of their own.

If a past event is causing you to constantly be in a state of grief because you do not know how to function without the thought form it has created in your memory bank, it’s time to realize all the past is a recollection in the present thought forms. You have power to change the thought form by letting it go where it belongs, in the past,a place where you were to learn from the experience and move on to the present, for that is where life is and that’s why it’s called “The Present”.

It’s the opportunity to get it right, to free you from the bondage of the past and all those who live there reminding you constantly of the mis-takes you’ve made, who do not possess the gift of forgiveness and unconditional love!!

Why live there, a place the sun never shines? and only in forgiving yourself and when you can fall in love with yourself will you be free to find those who think your are pretty awesome. We are all beautiful and unique onto ourselves, and those who do not embrace you because you think or behave differently, and that you are not worthy of the air you breathe have such lessons to learn that they will have nothing to offer you except repeat patterns and stories that are boring and ultimately no longer relevant.

But you are relevant!! You have a potential to be brilliant and recognizable to yourself, and to those who need your brilliance, that gift which comes in the “present”a time and place we have the privilege to be in.

So get up shake yourself off of all that which does not serve you, smell the coffee, and start the day in gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to get it right.

the world is exploding with new ideas from old concepts

I recently read an article that got me thinking about the youth of today and how little say so they have on the state of affairs we are facing for the future of this planet. They are constantly overrided by the domineering factor continuing today of an old out dated, no longer relevant concept that “children should be seen and not heard”.

I guess that all the occupy movements and revolts that the youth of today are engaging in seems to be the only way to get their elders attention. Acting out certainly is a way to do just that. Evolution verses Revolution, it seems to be the only alternative or is it?

We send our children to higher forms of education and for what end result? to become like the very people who created the problem in the first place? Or to find solutions to a problem that will be inherantly theirs.

I believe we are acting like children, using the one thing we as an advanced society despise IGNORANCE. For to continue to act condescendingly to the youth of today will surely be our faster paced destruction.

However if you think the majority of the youth of today act as entitled as their parents do you are right, but what about the minority of youths?

The ones I speak of are struggling just to exist in a world they do not feel a part of because unlike their counter parts they see the reality of what’s coming. When an opportunity arises to voice an idea or set an example of change in action they are not supported on any level, so their need to survive becomes a struggle and they retreat separating themselves from the resistance change can create.

The fact of the matter is we have reached a point of no return and that’s putting it to you straight! The objective is what the progressive young adults are looking at, SURVIVAL and how to achieve it. The ability to get past the concept that things will keep going the way they are is the cooperation they need in order to show us a better way.

The time for sitting around having meetings, discussing a problem that won’t go away is not the way to go about it. Even the most so called spiritual institutions that create the platform for people to feel safe from the reality we are facing are hiding behind a wall of denial, that gatherings other than growing food or sharing the real guts of the situation at hand are a waste of precious time.

The need for technology goes far beyond the internet as being a form of entertainment, but a real platform for change that is excessible to everyone! The concept that education should be free is being embraced by many activists that understand we all need the tools for survival, and knowledge is not an ownership to be exploited for profit.

But I’m getting away from my intention for this piece, and that is we as adults must begin to relinquish some of our resilience to change, and understand weather we like it or not change is inevitable.

Our most revered spiritual teachers make this clear, nothing stays the same and to hold on to ways that are not working anymore will prevent you from going with the flow.

Often when I found it difficult to accept the path my life was taking, I would reflect on two things that are so basic yet we take for total granted, we breathe as a natural act the body performs, and the Earth rotates and keeps us firmly on it without any help from us. These two basic fundamental acts for survival are done for us, now it’s time to do for ourselves with the understanding we are nothing short of a miracle. Let go and go with the flow, take the path of least resistance, see what happens when you listen more then speak.

Our children are our future, but what’s theirs? Why should it be any less then they expect it to be. What they expect is the example set before them from the people they are most influenced by, and that’s you.

Teach them basic skills even if you are teaching yourself for the first time, it allows for the child in everyone to express themselves and have real fun in the doing. This form of entertainment is vital to our survival as humans.

For me going with the flow means leaving behind what does not serve me, try it you might like it and look back and say change is good!!

Be brave take a chance, change your life and the world, one person at a time.

Lots of Love and Laughter!
